    Hi Catherine,
I found your website when I did a search on tips for raising triplets. I love your system! Then I got involved in your DeCasim Legacy, and read the entire thing from the beginning. I have been with Sims since the original came out, and I am anxiously awaiting the first expansion pack for Sims 3, but I have never seen anyone doing these challenges. I have been wandering all over the internet for several days now, and am also hooked on the forums on the boolprop website! I have to say, doing these challenges intrigue me! I took lots of notes, and have tons of ideas. I have no online webpage or blog, but I liked the layout of yours, so I got my own! Now I just hope I am smart enough to figure out how to use it, lol. I am looking forward to the rest of the DeCasims adventure, and hope to be sharing an adventure of my own soon!

Hey there! I went over to your new blog already and left a note there. But, I just want to thank you again for your kind words. I’m always tickled when someone says they’ve read my blog all the way through. I was extra-tickled that I put you in mind of doing one of your own. :-) I wish you the very best of luck!

Hey when you get a chance, hop over and meet Phoenix, let me know what you think.

Oh…and I am dying to see if it is triplets or not!

I am eager to see what you have going over there – I’ll leave you a note on your page in a bit.

I hope you don’t mind me asking you random questions on your page, but I couldn’t find the answers anywhere else, and I posted on Aaron’s site eons ago (2 days, lol), and no one has responded yet. You seem to have lots of experience with legacys so I thought you might know.

    1. For the “Obey Your Sims” handicap, it says that each day you must fulfill a wish for your “founder/youngest heir”. Does that mean just one? What if your founder and youngest heir are both still living in the house, do you do a wish for both? Or just the founder until the next heir takes over?

    2. For the “Storyteller” handicap, it says you should “upload your story and family lot once per generation”, but that it was not a requirement. I don’t use the site, other then my hubby downloading Riverview, because I don’t like the site. Do you think it would be all right if I just continued on my blog, or does it need to be something more? Also, is there a place that I should be posting to once a generation?

    3. I know that you list your handicaps that you chose at the beginning. But what about other stuff like collections, like say halfway through I decide I want to collect all the ghost babies, is that too late, or it only counts if I decide at the beginning?

    Thanks!

I don’t mind you asking. Although I might move the comments to a different spot later.

Aaroc has gone back to school and has been busy. I imagine he’s swamped with midterm stuff right now.

I think that the obey your sims handicap means you do a wish for the “Sim in Charge” – ie the founder, and then when you decide who your heir will be, switch to him. But you might want to get clarification from Aaroc on that one when he has time.

A blog is fine for storyteller.

You’re supposed to declare all your handicaps at the beginning. But I declared some of mine a little later.

In general, if you have doubts about a rule, just think about the spirit of the rules and what would honestly seem fair and go by that. Declare your thought process on your blog or over at boolprop if it helps you feel like you aren’t cheating. See here for an example:

Thanks for all the info, but one thing I am still not clear on is whether or not collections are considered handicaps. If I decided to work on collections, do I need to say so at the beginning, or are they not counted as handicaps?

Collections are not considered handicaps. You can gain points from completing them, but you do not get a penalty point if you do not complete them.
